Torreenaheem Spectral Demons
Torreenaheem (pronounced tor-een-ah-heem) Spectral Demons are a group who reside within the deepest, darkest, and most ancient layers of the Spectral Realm. Their domain borders the primal energies of Death itself. They are dark and fearsome demons.
Unlike Muresenura Spectral Demons who are lords of the dead and guides, the Torreenaheem Spectral Demons are something more primal and severe. They are Harbingers of Death. They do not comfort nor guide the dead and dying, but rather are the ones who arrive to drag a wayward soul who has disrupted the natural order. They are the ones who deal with when a soul has lingered for too long, when one has cheated death, when a soul has achieved unnatural longevity, or when a soul has become trapped between realms. They take and force the soul where they deem it appropriate for it to go.
They are very deeply connected to Death in a way of absolute and unquestionable authority. They act as a more reaper-like figure (not to be mistaken for the Rank of Reaper) by embodying the terror and dread felt by the living when faced with their unexpected end. They are Death incarnate, and their presence is one of darkness and dread. They are feared by both the living and the dead. Torreenaheem Spectral Demons appear when something has gone horribly wrong, when natural order and balance have been broken, and their means of restoring that equilibrium are without mercy. They are the inevitable correction and consequence of trying to cheat Death.
They are enforcers who accomplish their task of moving souls with ruthless efficiency. They ensure the natural order of things, often by ripping the soul from where it is at present to where it needs to go, or where they would prefer for it to go.
Their methods are brutal but efficient. They often purposely trap souls so that they may not wander nor escape, if a soul has proven to be troublesome in the past. They take their duties seriously and are merciless in their roles. They are seen as absolute terrors rather than benevolent psychopomps and are feared by many.
They appear with dark, cold, and still energies. They prefer more ethereal forms, or for their faces to be shrouded and hidden. They are not companions for the feint of heart. They are Harbingers of Death.
This is a general overview of the Torreenaheem Spectral Demons, but each demon is unique in their personalities, abilities, and interests. The Torreenaheem are one of the four types of Spectral Demons that we conjure from the Spectral Realm.
