Advent Day 17

For day 17 we will be cooking a seasonal dish with our companion(s).

Sharing and cooking food is one of the most incredible bonding experiences that we do with family, friends and loved ones. Each season often comes with its own delights and seasonal dishes. To mark this Halloween season, we will invite our companion to cook with us. First pick a dish that is special to you or that you simply enjoy during this time. Get all the materials you need, and you can include your companion in this process of gathering the ingredients if you wish.

Invite them to connect with you as you share some of your culture with them. Feel their impressions, curiosity, and any comments during the cooking process. Are there things they find odd? Delightful? Amusing? Make notes of these things. Once the food is ready offer your companion(s) a piece and see what they think.

You can post a picture of you dish in the Necromancer’s Tea Party 2026 Discord Chat if you’d like~

Share what the experience was like. How did they respond to the food you cooked?

Post your experience below to participate in the weekly participation raffle:

I ate some yummy noodle soup <33

I decided to try a new stew recipe!

I found some old cookbooks a little while ago, and decided to give them a try. This recipe was called “turkey and wild rice stew”.

It was a turkey dish, so it wasn’t the most flavorful of meals, but it was definitely one that I can experiment with another time. It was a bit difficult to find wild rice, but I did find a nice sized bag of mixed rice (with wild rice of course). I had to improvise as I didn’t have majoram, but one of my spice blends did.
