Advent Day 12

For day 12 we will take a trip to visit a graveyard with our companion.

With the thinning of the veil, it is a perfect time to honor the dead and to walk amongst them. For this activity we will take a field trip with our companion to a nearby graveyard. Decide on which graveyard you wish to visit and take some time to immerse yourself with the energies of the dead. Take a moment to walk amongst the dead feel the stories of all those resting and while you are visiting find something nice to do for one of the graves whether that is cleaning up trash, picking up debris, cleaning up any of the stones or any other thing you feel inspired to do. Walk with your companion and allow them to guide you are there any signs or messages that stand out. Take this time to connect and speak with them.

Share your experience with your companion at the graveyard below. Feel free to share any photos of the kinds of thing you ended up doing for the spirits in the Necromancers Tea Party 2026 Discord Chat.

Post your experience below to participate in the weekly participation raffle (discord doesn’t count):

I have been thinking about doing this. When I was younger and maybe didn’t have as tight a schedule as I do now I used to visit cemeteries more often.

Recently I’ve been passing by areas with graveyards and there is something in me that simply looks back as I move away but a part of me wants to go there.

Have learned a lot since I used to do something like that, will like to see how the experience is different. Will have to wait until I get paid and then the weekend to see if I can accommodate the visit.

Yesterday evening on my walk home, I visited a cemetery with my necromancer companions and took some time to reflect on the lives and stories of those laid to rest. There’s something strangely peaceful about cemeteries, especially at night. Being surrounded by so much history and so many untold stories made the experience feel both humbling and meaningful.

As I walked, I invited my companions to share in the experience and simply allowed myself to be present. I spent some time reading headstones, wondering about the people behind the names and the lives they once lived. I also took a moment to clear away some debris as a small gesture of respect.

What stood out most was the stillness. It reminded me that death is a natural part of existence, and that honoring those who came before us doesn’t always require an elaborate ritual. Sometimes simply acknowledging that they lived is enough.

I am unable to do this now but bucketlist! I will use this time to use my spooky key :3.
